The Preston Heights Community Group was founded by a group of residents 30 years ago to create a place for youth to engage in activities, programs and their community. Through the support of our funders and community partners. We have since grown to provide a variety of programs and services for all ages.
As we continue to grow, we seek dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors. Board members direct our organization on matters of governance which includes; policy, budget, fundraising and more.
Presently, we are looking for board members who have backgrounds in; Human Resources, Finance and Business Administration, Law, Law Enforcement, Fundraising, Community Programming and more. If you have other skills that you feel relevant to a board member position, please let us know.
As a board member you will meet monthly, and often liaise with other board members or the Executive Director between meetings. Our board members also attend events both in the community and for our organization to sustain and build our community profile. On average, a board member makes a 3-5 hour per month commitment.
